Remember… When your friend, family member, or child is in trouble, the family is also in trouble, whether the family is part of the problem or just impacted by it.
Support is an essential component of our Program even though its structure is independent from the Program itself. Whether or not the family is part of the problem, it can certainly be part of the solution or of the healing process. Family support groups and meetings are for parents, siblings, friends, and spouses of people with problems such as dependence, addictions of any kind, mental health issues or concurrent disorders; life’s problems in short. Family support meetings are for those people who might need help or who know someone who might need help.
Family Support meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at our Centre located at 1880 Ormont Drive. For more information please call us at 416-748-9988.

Caritas Family Association
By and large the family is a major healing force in a troubled individual’s life and must be a central component in helping to facilitate long-term changes. Families themselves need to understand and change destructive patterns of behaviour. Without the family’s inclusion in the individual’s program, success is much more difficult.
Caritas Family Association is an independent entity from Caritas Project. The Family Association endeavours to run various support groups, and from time to time organizes educational and fundraising events to support Caritas. Each group is autonomous and is typically run in the style of traditional anonymous “What you hear here stays here” groups. These are self-help groups run by parents and family members for parents and families. Although these grassroots groups and events are not governed or run by Caritas Project, Caritas oversees their operation, facilitation, and provides the space and support for their existence whenever possible.
