I started experimenting with cigarettes at the age of twelve. I did it because I thought it was the cool thing to do. At the age of fifteen, I took my first line of cocaine. Through the next eight years I did whatever I had to do to get my drugs. I lied, stole, cheated, from everything and everyone I knew. My life before coming into treatment was a life of hell. I always had to watch my back and I always had to know what my next move was. There came a point in my life where I felt I had no reason to live, I didn’t have home to live in; I had no job, no responsibility, nothing. I become suicidal, there were many occasions when I attempted to end my life, but there is a reason why I didn’t and I believe that reason is to give back to people who are in the same situation.
