Standing Still

Life is a race, while most of us are running towards something there are those who are running away from something. I could be found in the latter group. Not knowing or more accurately not wanting to deal with my reality, my pain, myself…I ran. And when you run for a long enough period of time – literally or figuratively – eventually you stumble, you fall. I fell flat on my face. For the life of me, I could not pick myself up. I needed the assistance of others to get me back on my feet. Caritas is the “pit-stop” for me to deal with the issues that plagued me and caused me to run. There I am, standing still, facing these demons, mending the parts of me that are broken so that eventually I can re-enter the race but this time I will be running towards a balanced, healthy, fulfilling life.

Residential Program
The duration of the program is 25 months and it is offered as a complete experience in 4 phases. Caritas has both urban and rural settings: The main Centre and residences located in North Toronto, and the 90 acre farm and spiritual Centre, located approximately 25 minutes north of the Centre.

This is a turning point, an end of a way of living your life and the beginning of a new way you will live your life. It is important to deal with each and every aspect and issue during this time. Once detoxified, stronger, aware, and healthy, know that you can acheive whatever you want. You are part of this wonderful world and as a whole, we all enrich eachother’s lives.
